In the surface soil phase of the vertical shaft construction,the sand layers are loose,poor in supporting capability and friction,and easy to collapse,being a problem in construction process.The paper summarized the com-monly used special sinking method and its construction features;with the expansion project of A'erhada mining compa-ny as engineering background,hanging shaft wall method which is fast and safe dealing with relatively thick sand lay-ers is introduced in details and is worth referring to.
