Synthesis of Novel 3-Anilinemethylene-5,6-dihydro-6-phenyl-2H-pyran-2,4-diones

We have previously reported the preliminary fungicidal activityof 3-anilinemethylene-5,6-dihydro-6-phenyl-2H-pyran-2,4-diones and their 3D-QSAR study. In this paper, sixteen novel compounds of this series are obtained in satisfactory yields (87%～97%) by using a new “one-pot” synthetic method. The Z/E isomer relation of compounds (2) is discussed briefly.
