Combining with the design of transferring open pit mining into underground mining in Xingshan iron mine, the paper introduces the design practice in the aspects of time-space relationship, production connection, de-velopment system, mining method and safety measures of openpit stoping, nearby-slope orebody and deep part ore-body mining in the process. The technical proposals are of great referrences.
