介绍了热浸锌浴中加入少量Al的研究与应用情况.结果表明,当锌浴中加入0.005%~0.020%Al,可显著提高热镀锌层光亮性,减少锌浴表面氧化.这是由于锌浴及镀层表面Al被选择性氧化而形成一层Al2O3保护膜,阻止了锌的氧化.该浓度范围下的加铝技术适用于批量热镀锌.而当锌浴中加入超过0.15%Al,可抑制脆性Fe-Zn合金相的形成并获得厚度适宜、粘附性良好的镀层.其抑制机理是由于在铁基上首先形成一层连续的Fe2Al5相抑制层,抑制了Fe-Zn反应.但该抑制层往往在几秒内即会发生迸裂而失去对Fe-Zn反应的抑制作用;同时,在该浓度范围下会造成常规助镀剂失效并且在锌浴表面会产生大量浮渣,故该技术仅适用于钢板连续热镀锌.
