以水银为实验工质,通过物理模拟考察板坯连铸电磁制动时,水口浸入深度和拉坯速度对结晶器内液态金属流动的影响规律.采用超声波多普勒测速仪测量了在结晶器上部磁场B1 =0.18 T和下部磁场B2=0.5T的情况下,板坯结晶器(模型)内水银的流速分布.实验表明:(1)加大水口浸入深度整体上使液面水平流速下降,且提高该流动的稳定性(湍流度降低);而当水口浸入深度过深时,会引起液面水平流向改变.(2)水口出流的射流流速及其对结晶器窄面的撞击强度,以及液面的水平流速与其湍流度依然随拉坯速度提高而增强;同时,结晶器窄面附近上、下回流区金属液的铅垂速度均趋增大,且上回流区金属液对窄面冲刷的相对强度表现为先升高后降低,而下回流区金属液对窄面冲刷的相对强度则呈持续增强趋势.
