The γ→ε transformation below Néel temperature in Fe-30Mn-6Si alloy was investigated by means of electrical resistance, magnetic susceptibility and X-ray diffraction measurements. In contrast to some previous works, the present results show that the magnetic transition does not necessarily suppress the formation of ε martensite below TN in some Fe-Mn and Fe-Mn-Si alloys.
