内包铁洋葱状富勒烯在氩气和氢气气氛中通过二茂铁热分解合成.用TEM、XRD和TGA对生成产物的结构和组份进行表征分析.XRD分析结果表明与洋葱状富勒烯(002)面对应的2θ为26.12°,被包裹的物质为单质铁,而非铁的碳化物;TGA曲线表明内包铁洋葱状富勒烯在600℃开始失重,洋葱状富勒烯与铁的质量比约5:2.在1900℃对内包铁洋葱状富勒烯真空包保温4h后发现铁颗粒消失,形成空核的洋葱状富勒烯.
