目前Co-Cr基合金硬盘磁记录介质因其磁诱发相分离的富Co铁磁相,与富Cr非铁磁相组成的特殊组织形态和较高的磁晶各向异性能,使得实际的磁记录面密度已达到了水平记录模式的理论极限(~100 Gbit/in2),而将来超高密度磁记录技术(几百Gbi/in2~1 Tbit/in2)要求介质具有孤立的磁晶粒和更高的磁晶各向异性能.我们的实验结果表明,Co-Mo(W)合金具有比Co-Cr合金更高的磁晶各向异性能,特别是热力学计算预测了这两个系统发生磁诱发相分离的可能性,其组织能满足未来超高密度磁记录的要求.对Co-Mo(W)合金薄膜的TEM-EDX分析支持了这种理论计算结果.不过这两个体系相分离程度的不充分限制了它们的直接应用.本文对这种不充分相分离的成因进行了详细讨论,并提出了对其改善的途径.
