钛白粉短缺以及由此而引起的价格上涨再次激励涂料化学家为增加涂料遮盖力而寻找这一关键原材料的替代品。针对这一目标，阿科玛最近推出了两种新技术──CelocorTM遮盖聚合物和能提高钛白粉遮盖效率的新型分散剂。本文介绍了这两种新技术产品的性能，并通过其在4种乳胶漆中的应用实例说明如何有效利用这两种技术的组合来显著降低涂料配方中所需钛白粉的用量。
Recent shortages in titanium dioxide and consequent price increase have provided a renewed incentive for coating chemists to look for alternatives to this key raw material to promote paint hiding. Arkema has recently introduced new technology in the form of CelocorTM opacifiers and novel dispersants capable of enhancing hiding efficiency of titania. The paper will focus on introducing the performance of these new technologies and exemplifying with four latex paint applications how combining these technologies in a paint formulation to significantly reduce the amount of titania required in a coating formulation.
