he usual investigation methods of the phases structure of ZnFe alloy coating of GA products such as optical microscopy (OM), Xray diffraction (XRD), electrochemical method, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) etc. were introduced in the paper. The advantages and disadvantages of them were compared, too. Among them halfquantitative and quantitative methods of XRD and electrochemistry methods were in the highlight. And the most used method to identify phase, TEM diffraction was introduced in detail.
