Based on the nucleation and growth theory together with the influence of deformation on driving force and nucleation site, a numerical model was developed for predicting deformation-induced transformation (DIT). The numerical results of DIT of 16MnNb steel was presented and compared with the experimental ones. The calculated results are in a good agreement with the experimental ones, and the best calculated result is obtained when the constant α=0.25 for steel 16MnNb.
