This paper first introduces the basic principle of highside pressure control and the concept of the optimum pressure. The influence of varying pressure, operating conditions on capacity and efficiency is expatiated through cycle analysis. The paper, according to the results of analysis and demonstrating, put forward a new applied and simple scheme of highside pressure control. The scheme has even more significance for automobile aircondition and heat pump system
