以微硅粉和Al2(SO4)3为反应物料,硫酸钾为熔盐介质,分别在800℃、900℃、1000℃和1100℃下煅烧并保温1h,溶解、过滤、烘干后得到白色疏松状莫来石粉体.利用XRD和SEM对合成粉体进行物相分析和显微形貌观察.结果表明:1000℃为合成莫来石最佳温度,合成的莫来石晶须直径为0.1 ~0.8 μm,长度为4~5 μm.同时对莫来石晶须的形成机理进行了探讨.
