The paper introduces performance the requirements of fastener steel for automobiles,melting and rolling characteristics.The present status and development of super cleanliness fastener steel,microalloyed steel,on line annealing steel,boron steel,delayed fracture resistant high strength steel have been reviewed.The tendency for fastener steels was induced naturally by the review.
