Precipitation behavior of austenite in Mn-Nb-Cu-B low carbon bainitic steel under different conditions was investigated on a Gleeble 1500 thermo-mechanical simulator by stress relaxation method. The precipitation kinetics curves were measured at different strain and strain rates. At the same time, the parameter of the precipitation kinetics equation was determined based on experimental results and the starting time of precipitation was calculated, respectively. Results indicate that calculation data by model agree with experimental data at the higher holding temperature. The research is helpful for optimization of hot deformation process.
