对红磷在三元乙丙橡胶阻燃材料中的应用问题进行了研究，发现：添加在三元乙丙橡胶中的无机氧化物的酸碱性对红磷的阻燃效果有重大影响；红磷阻燃具有饱和性；DSC分析和热老化实验表明，红磷对三元乙丙橡胶材料的热老化稳定性有不良影响，可通过调整配方加以解决。
The application of red phosphorus in retardant EPDM was investigated. It is confirmed that the Oxygen Index of the material can be saturated when a given amount of red phosphorus is added. In the mean time, pH value of the inorganic oxide used in the material has been found to have a large influence on the retardant efficiency of red phosphorus. The results of DSC and thermal aging tests indicate that the addition of red phosphorus decreases the thermal aging stability of EPDM. This problem can be resolved by adjusting the components
