海南天气炎热,空气湿度大,紫外线照射强烈,地理位置四周环海,空气中含有海洋盐分,不利于铁器文物的保存。华光礁1号沉船出水铁器文物在海水中已经受到严重腐蚀,出水后均有不同程度的锈蚀、疏松和脆裂现象,表面覆盖着白色钙质层和红褐色铁锈层。回顾了铁器文物的腐蚀机理,调研了国内外铁器文物的保护处理方法,对华光礁1号出水铁器提出了保护措施。
Hainan is located in the tropics with hot weather,high humidity and strong ultraviolet radiation,surrounded by the sea and the atmosphere containing a number of marine salts,which increase the difficulty to protect cultural relics.The marine-recovered iron artifacts from Huaguang reefⅠwreck had suffered from serious corrosion.The iron artifacts present rusting,loosening,brittle fracture,their surfaces are covered with white calcium-based concretions and reddish-brown rust layers.Some protection measures for iron artifacts of Huaguang reefⅠare proposed through reviewing the corrosion principle of iron artifacts and the current treatment methods from home and abroad.
