载体ZrO2以四方相(t相)结构存在是WOx/ZrO2形成超强酸结构和高催化活性的必要条件. 研究表明,机械处理(研磨和压片)可导致WOx/ZrO2的载体发生四方相向单斜相的部分转变,从而降低Pt/WOx/ZrO2的正庚烷异构化活性. 添加Al助剂明显提高了载体四方相结构对机械应力的稳定性,从而维持了其催化活性.
