Ni-matrix composite coating containing Al2O3 nano-particles is prepared by brush plating. The effects of the nano-particles on the microstructure, microhardness and tribological properties of the composite coating under the lubrication of a diesel oil containing sand are investigated. The results show that the microstructure of the composite coating is finer than that of the pure nickel coating due to the codeposition of the nano-particles. When the nano-particle concentration in the electroplating bath reaches 20 g/L, the microhardness, and wear resistance of the composite coating is as much as 1.6 times and 1.3~2.5 times of those of the pure nickel coating respectively. The main hardening mechanism of the composite coating is superfine crystal grain strengthening and dispersion strengthening. The composite coating is characterized by scuffing as it slides against Si3N4 under the present test conditions.

The adsorption of hydrogen onto single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) was studied by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. It was found that the hydrogen molecules distribute regularly inside and outside of the tube. Density distribution was computed for H2 molecule. Theoretical analysis of the result showed the multilayer adsorption mechanism of SWCNTs. The storage of H2 in SWCNTs is computed, which provides essential theoretical reference for further study of hydrogen adsorption in SWCNTs.

Effect of different cooling history on yield ratio of HP295 steel for welded gas cylinder was studied and the result implied that both fine microstructure and good mechanical properties can be attained by using two-stage cooling and controlling the coiling temperature. The yield ratio of HP295 steel sheet was reduced to less than 0.8 by two-stage cooling process. The pass percent of yield ratio was enhanced from less than 90% to 100%. The mechanical properties satisfied the criteria of GB6653-1994.

Recently proposed mathematical model for mold filling processes under centrifugal force field conditions and the computer codes were first tested through the sample simulation of gravity mold filling process for a benchmark plate-casting, which were compared with quoted experimental observations. The model and the developed computer program were then applied to the numerical simulation of centrifugal field mold filling processes for a thin-section casting with a titanium alloy melt of assumed viscosity of 1.2 and 12.0 mm2/s, respectively. The computation result comparison shows that the flow behaviors of the filling melts are basically similar to each other although the less viscous melt tends to fill into the thin section casting cavity faster.

研究了ACRT-B法生长的Mn0.1Cd0.9In2Te4晶体中界面的形状和各组元沿轴向的分布规律及其分凝因数.发现结晶界面为椭球形;采用理想配比生长MnxCd1-xIn2Te4晶体,其4种组元并不按(Mn,Cd):In:Te=1:2:4比例结晶,而是要重新分布;通过数学方法处理实验数据得到Mn,Cd和In的分凝因数在α相区分别为1.286、1.9257和0.7294,在β相区则分别为1.12、1.055和0.985.

采用Bridgman法生长了x为0.1,0.22和0.4的四元稀磁半导体化合物MnxCd1-xIn2Te4晶体.研究了三根晶体中相的形貌、结构、成分和Mn0.1Cd0.9In2Te4晶体中各组元沿轴向和径向的成分分布.晶体生长初始端的组织为α+β+β1,随着生长的进行,形成β相的单相区.在晶锭末端,形成In2Te3类面心立方结构化合物.组分x增大后,MnxCd1-xIn2Te4晶体的吸收边向短波方向移动,禁带宽度则线性增大.磁化率测量结果表明:晶体在高温区的x-1-T曲线服从居里-外斯定律,在低温区(<50K)则表现出顺磁增强现象.

Crystal structure of γ-Li_xFe_2O_3,inserted Li electrochemically,was studied by Moss- bauer spectroscopy together with X-ray diffraction,XPS and electrochemical method,On the insertion of Li at low current density,the crystal structure is keeping original spinel; while at higher current density or by thermal activation,owing to violent movement of Li~+ ions,part of crystal structure transforms into rock type similar to face-centered cubic structure of ferrous oxide.The transition channels during insertion of Li~+ ions and limitation of Li~+ ions inserted were discussed.
