The 410℃ isothermal section of the phase diagram of Al-Cu-Sb ternary system has been de- termined by means of X-ray powder diffraction method and electron probe microanalysis. The section determined consists of 12 single-phase regions,21 bi-phase regions and 10 tri-phase regions.

The major phases in the Cu-rich alloys containing Co,Cr and Si are α-Cu(a solid solution of Co,Cr and Si in Cu),χ-phase(Co_5Cr_3Si_2)and Co_2Si.In comparison with reference sample,it has been detected that the crystal structure of Co_5Cr_3Si_2 is cubic,α-Mn type with a=0.8694 nm.The melting temperature of χ-phase and the alloy are higher than that of the pure Cu,namely,1535 and 1389 K respectively.During ageing treatment,the Co_2Si phase precipitates out from α-Cu and χ-phase simultaneously,but the hardening effect is mainly contributed by the precipitation from α-Cu.

The room temperature section of Cu-Dy(≤35wt-%)-Ni phase diagram has been determined by means of X-ray diffraction technique.The results are as follows.four single-phase regions (α,Dy_2Ni_(17),DyNi_5 and DyCu_5),five two-phase regions(α+Dy_2N_(17),Dy_2Ni_(17)+DyNi_5, DyCu_5+DyNi_5,α+DyNi_5 and DyCu_5+α)and two three-phase regions (α+Dy_2Ni_(17)+DyNi_5 and α+DyNi_5+DyCu_5)exist in the seetion.No any new phase was ob- servered.The solubility of Dy in α-phase is up to 2 wt-%.

The reduction process of manganese dioxide in low-grade manganese ore by biomass roasting was investigated. The calcine of manganese oxide ore was further leached by sulphuric acid, the manganese in ore can be converted into manganese sulfate. Effects of the mass ratio of manganese ore to sawdust, roasting temperature and time, leaching temperature and time, leaching agent concentration and liquid-solid ratio were studied. 97.71 % of manganese recovery can be achieved under the optimal conditions: the mass ratio of manganese ore to sawdust of 5:1, roasting temperature at 500 ℃ for 40 min, leaching temperature at 60 ℃ for 40 min, sulphuric acid concentration of 1 mol/L and liquid-solid ratio of 10:1. Other types of low-grade manganese ore like Guilin ore, Nanning ore and Gongcheng ore were tested and the same results were obtained.
