On the basis of the thermodynamic analysis and fundamental study in the laboratory, the equilibrium of the TiAlO system was investigated. The results showed that the equilibrium titanium content in the steel increased with the increase in the soluble aluminum content in the steel and the TiO2 content in the slag. Although the slag basicity decreased and Al2O3 content in the slag increased, the titanium content increased. Based on these results, the BOF smelting process of low titanium bearing steel was put forward.

By adopting the solid modeling software SoldEdge and the enmeshment software SRIFCast as the pre-processing platform, a Ni based alloy turbine blade was three-dimensionally modeled and automatically enmeshed. A software code for numerical simulation of fluid flow and heat transfer was developed. The Xue criterion and Niyama criterion were used to predict the position of the shrinkage defects occurring in the solidification processes of the turbine blade. The results showed that both Xue and Niyama criteria could precisely predict the shrinkage defects in the Ni based alloy turbine blade. This indicates that numerical simulation is a significant tool in improving casting quality.

A static Monte Carlo simulation program has been used to study the influence of primary and secondary knock-on atoms on the angular distribution and the fractionation, for zero-fluence sputtering of Mo-92-Mo-100. At 10 keV Xe ion energy, calculations show that significant depth-dependent momentum asymmetry exists in the near-surface region, as in Refs. (L.P. Zheng, R.S. Li, M.Y.LI, Nucl. Instr, and Meth. B 100 (1995) 490; L.P. Zheng, M.Y. Li, Nucl. Instr. and Meth. B 114(1996) 28). The calculations also show that at the polar emission angle range between 0 degrees and 90 degrees the probabilities of the sputtered primary knock-on atoms for Mo-92 and Mo-100 are small (6.1% for Mo-92 and 6.6% for Mo-100), especially, between 0 degrees and 30 degrees they are very small (2.5% for Mo-92 and 2.8% for Mo-100). At 0.1 keV Ar ion energy, the calculations show that partial momentum flux ratios, for the primary and the secondary knock-on atoms, deviate far from one, through marker plane 1 (about an atomic layer distance from the surface). A recent comment on a previously published paper addressed the invalid explanation of the off diagonal interdiflusion coefficients of the beta-Ni(Al,Cr) phase in the Ni-Cr-Al system according to the symmetric property of the thermodynamic matrix. In this paper, the experimental data presented by Hou et al. was reanalyzed and the interdiffusion coefficient matrix was estimated again. 对NiTi形状记忆合金纤维拔出的力学模型进行了探讨.在恒温状态下,考虑纤维和基体间的界面摩擦力,分别用两种本构理论,即Tanaka的指数模型和C.Liang的余弦模型,讨论了形状记忆合金纤维在变轴力作用下的拉伸问题.推导了形状记忆合金纤维拔出量的表达式,并给出数值计算结果.由指数模型和余弦模型得到的结果非常吻合,证明了这种理论方法是正确的.
